Italian government to meet Friday

(ANSA) - Rome, August 23 - Italian Premier Mario Monti and his government will meet on Friday after the short summer break. Monti said that the agenda does not include new proposals, but will be an update session on "what has been done and what needs to be done," particularly regarding the nation's growth. "Do not expect new measures to be introduced, but a summary of proposals from the various ministries," Monti said.
