Soccer: China Railway denies buying Inter stake

(ANSA) - Milan, August 3 - The China Railway Construction Corp has denied that it is the Chinese investor Inter Milan has said is going to buy a minority stake in the Serie A club. "Our company has not been involved in negotiations concerning the buying of the club's shares," the company said in a statement quoted by China Daily. Chinese media had speculated that the China Railway Construction was poised to buy a 15% stake in the three-time Italian champions for 55 million euros. On Wednesday Inter said it was welcoming new Chinese investors in the same statement in which it announced a project to build a stadium for itself with the China Railway Construction Corp. The club did not name the new investors. Inter currently pay to rent the famous San Siro stadium on match days from the Milan city council. They share the ground with local rivals AC Milan.
