(ANSA) - Rome, July 31 - Cars, trucks and motorcycles will no longer spew their fumes and honk their horns in a roundabout near the Roman Coliseum by 2015. Rome Mayor Gianni Alemanno announced the move in a presentation of plans for the restoration of the ancient Roman circus stadium Tuesday. "By 2015 we will be ready and punctual with a new traffic plan that will have a smaller impact on the Coliseum," Alemanno said. "The roundabout will be freed up" deviating traffic through a different route, he added. The roundabout currently places the Coliseum near a major intersection for the Italian capital's notorious traffic.
