'We showed world what Italy can do' Letta says on Concordia

Rome, September 17 - Italy proved its expertise to the world in righting the huge Costa Concordia cruise liner 20 months after it capsized off Tuscany, Premier Enrico Letta said Tuesday. "We have shown the whole world what Italian technology is able to do," he told a press conference on the unprecedented engineering feat. He said Italy was prone to "shooting itself in the foot" but on this occasion it had pulled something exceptional off with "an effective collaboration between the public and private sectors".
