Milan, September 17 - Prada posted a first-half profit of 308.2 million euros, 7.6% up on the same period last year, the Italian fashion house said Tuesday. Earnings were 11.7% up at 1.72 billion euros. "We are satisfied with these results," said CEO Patrizio Bertelli. "Earnings have grown in every country where the group is present and we have improved our operating margins". Prada, co-led by Bertelli's wife and chief designer Miuccia Prada, is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. It is one of the few global fashion brands to have made significant inroads into China, the world's second-largest luxury market.
