Third worker dies after Calabrian factory blast

Catanzaro, September 13 - A third worker died Friday after a Calabrian factory exploded Thursday. Enrico Amati, 47, was from Sinalunga near Siena. He was severely burned on 90% of his body when fuels producer Ilsap Biopro's factory's oil-storage facility near Lamezia Terme exploded. The men who died immediately were Daniele Gasbarrone, from Latina south of Rome, and Alessandro Panella, from nearby Velletri, both 32. The incident spurred widespread calls, including from Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, to tighten factory safety.
