IPad app to promote India marines solidarity launched

Rome, September 12 - An iPad app has been launched through which Italians will be able to express their solidarity to two Italian marines currently in India where they stand accused of killing two fishermen, according to a statement made by parliamentarian Margherita Boniver. "I wanted the creation of this app to allow each of us to express our convinced testimony on behalf of the two marines that are entrapped in an issue that is far larger than them, that creates huge apprehension above all to their families", Boniver said in a Twitter posting. "We would like to unite our voices to those of the armed forces and to those of the thousands of Italian citizens that are profoundly offended and upset". Marines Salvatore Girone and Massimiliano Latorre are accused of allegedly killing two Indian fishermen while on anti-piracy duty last year.
