High-speed train services disrupted by 'hook' sabotage

(ANSA) - Bologna, July 16 - High-speed rail services were disrupted in the Bologna area on Monday after a hook was positioned on a track in an act of sabotage. Prosecutors are looking into the possibility that anarchist groups could be behind the act, which damaged part of a Frecciarossa train. Works for a new high-speed train link between Turin and Lyon, the TAV, have sparked a series of violent protests in recent years. Anarchist groups claimed have responsibility for series of attacks over the last few years, including the May 7 shooting in the leg of Ansaldo Nucleare CEO Roberto Adinolfi in Genoa.
