World War II mine sparks emergency port closure in Rimini

Rimini, September 11 - The Adriatic port of Rimini underwent an emergency closure Wednesday when a fishing vessel unloaded a World War II mine it accidentally scooped off the sea floor. The Coast Guard blocked off the area, including part of a nearby public beach. A bomb squad was working to defuse the explosive, believed to be from German forces.
