'Fear of Falling' world premier in Rome

Rome, September 10 - 'Fear of Falling', the new film from Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme, will have its world premiere at Rome's International Film Festival in November, organizers announced Tuesday. The eighth edition of the festival, which begins November 8 and continues to November 17 at the Parco della Musica, will focus on new trends in the cinema world. With Fear of Falling, Demme re-interprets Henrik Ibsen's classic play The Master Builder to tell the story of a famous architect who becomes more and more trapped by his fantasies. Demme is best known for such Oscar-winning films as The Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia. Character actor and writer Wallace Shawn, who helped adapt Ibsen's play for the film, also stars in in the film and is expected to be Rome for its premier.
