Ferrari plans to invest 2 bn euros in product development

Frankfurt, September 10 - Ferrari's chairman on Tuesday announced plans to invest two billion euros over the next five years in product development, and said the luxury sportscar company had ploughed 1.4 billion euros into development over the last five years. ''These numbers do not include investments in Formula 1, whose technological results and know-how are, however, transferred to street models, as happened extensively with the new vehicle presented today,'' Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Montezemolo was present for the unveiling of the Ferrari 458 Speciale, a new version of the award-winning 458, which includes the coupe', with a removable roof, and Spider.
