'No one at G20 asked abt Italy govt strains' says Letta

St Petersburg, September 6 - None of the G20 leaders asked about the strains currently threatening the Italian government, Premier Enrico Letta said after the summit in Russia Friday. The issue of a possible government crisis did not come up because there was so much else to talk about, he said. Ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi has said he will sink the left-right alliance with Letta's Democratic Party (PD) if the PD votes him out of the Senate after a tax-fraud conviction.
