Los Angeles, September 3 - The world's first South American pope, who has made his mark as pontiff with his charismatic and warm approach, will now be the subject of a film directed by Italian-Argentine film director Alejandro Agresti, Variety magazine reported. The part of former Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, elected Pope Francis in March, will by played by fellow Argentine Rodrigo de la Serna, who interpreted the part of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara's travel companion in the 2004 film by Walter Salles, The Motorcycle Diaries. Director of the internationally acclaimed 2006 film The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock and Christopher Plummer, Agresti told Variety that the film entitled 'Historia de un Cura' (A Priest's Tale) is aimed at "getting inside this very singular person". The film will be shot in Argentina, Italy and Germany.
