Exor profit jumps tenfold in first half on Sgs stake sale

Turin, August 29 - Exor's profit in the first half of 2013 jumped almost tenfold to 1.67 billion euros compared with 168.3 million in the year-earlier period as the Agnelli family's holding company benefitted from a stake sale. Consolidated earnings at the company were lifted by a 1.5 billion euros one-off gain resulting from the sale of its holding in Sgs, the Switzerland-based testing, inspection and quality company.
