Govt to vote on draft law introducing flexibility employment

Rome, August 22 - The Italian government headed by premier Enrico Letta is slated to vote on a draft law Friday that will, amongst other things, seek to introduce flexibility in the headcount of companies the state has holdings in. The so-called ''organizational flexibility'' measures will permit the transfer of labour contracts amongst the various companies the Italian government has a stake in in order to curb excessive employee levels. The decree, which is set to be evaluated by the cabinet at the weekly meeting, involves urgent measures that aim to rationalize Italy's state expenditure.
