Italian draft law plans 20% cut in official state vehicles

(ANSA) – Rome, August 22 – The Italian government headed by premier Enrico Letta is slated to vote on a draft law Friday that will introduce a 20% cut in official state cars as we as on consultancies compared with 2012 public expenditure on the items. The decree, which is set to be evaluated by the cabinet at the weekly meeting, foresees and extension of the suspension of new vehicle purchases or new leasing contracts for them through 2015, involves urgent measures that aim to rationalize Italy’s state expenditure. The draft law is made up of 10 articles.
