(ANSA) – Pisticci (Matera), August 21 – The body of a woman who died Wednesday, when she was killed when a torrent of water and mud overwhelmed the car she was travelling in outside of the town of Pisticci, in the Southern Italian province of Matera, was located by the local fire brigade. Sixty-four year old Anna Lanzillotti was travelling in the car with another woman when the accident happened. Unlike her companion, she was unable to get out of the river, swollen by torrential rains. Her body was found about one kilometre away from where the water and mud overturned the car. She was found thanks to police helicopters illuminating the area during the night in order to assist the search parties.
