Luxottica's Leonardo Del Vecchio tops bourse rich list

(ANSA) – Milan, August 16 - Leonardo Del Vecchio, the founder of Luxottica, is the richest man on the Italian stock market with his 15.2 billion euro stake in the eyewear maker, according to the traditional annual released by MF/Milano Finanza on asset-holders in Italy. The previous holders of the title, the Rocca brothers who topped the list for the past six years thanks to their 11.9 billion euros in invested assets, fell to third, while Prada founders Miuccia Prada and Maurizio Bertelli came second with 14.5 billion euros of holdings. Former Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi was back in the top 10 after having dropped out of the group last year, with 3.5 billion euros of listed assets.
