Bull terrier trafficking ring uncovered in northern Italy

Turin, August 14 - Police in the northern Italian cities of Trieste and Biella on Wednesday uncovered an organization illegally smuggling Bull terriers from Eastern Europe into Italy. The Bull terriers, a breed with a reputations as ''gladiators'', were reportedly kept in such small cages and were so malnourished they could barely walk and had poor eyesight. Eleven dogs were seized. The owners of the kennel where they were kept are under investigation.
