Octogenarian attacks doctor with machete for 'bad care'

Urbania, August 9 - A doctor in central Italy was attacked in a clinic Friday by an 81-year-old farmer with a machete who complained he received "bad care". Daniela Vivani, 58, was in stable condition with lacerations to her hands and face, requiring over 40 stitches. Her attacker, Enrico Bostreghini, was in police custody. Witnesses said he entered the clinic then skipped the line, claiming to have an appointment, before assailing the victim. Bostreghini told police at the scene he was upset over what he deemed poor treatment from the doctor. Police said the suspect had a history of public disturbances that included twice setting fire to the front door of the town hall in retaliation for fines.
