Young Italian soldier electrocuted while guarding tanks

Ravenna, August 5 - The deputy mayor of Ravenna on Monday extended the city's condolences to the family and to the commander of a 21-year-old army corporal electrocuted while guarding tanks in a freight area of a Ravenna rail station late Sunday night. According to a preliminary reconstruction of events, Bernardo Ceraldi mounted one of a number of tanks being taken to the Ravenna freight rail station, and touched a high voltage rail cable. A fellow soldier was the first to come to his aid, but emergency workers were unable to revive him.
