Rally planned in Rio to protest spending for World Youth Day

Rio de Janeiro, July 22 - Hacker group Anonymous and members from the Brazilian Atheist and Agnostic association Atea organized a demonstration there on Monday to protest local and national government spending for World Youth Day. The rally, timed for the arrival of Pope Francis in the South American city, are not against the Argentine pontiff or the Catholic Church, the groups specified. Protests broke out last month over public services and Confederations Cup spending when more than 100,000 people took to the streets throughout the country. Monday's rally is planned to take place in front of Rio de Janeiro's government headquarters Palacio do Guanabara.
