Milan, Madrid stock markets in free fall

(ANSA) - Rome, July 23 - The Milan and Madrid stock exchanges were in free fall on Monday, with both bourses losing 5% in the first three hours of trading. Investors are concerned that Spain's public-finance problems are getting worse, with a number of autonomous regions in difficulty, and Italy is seen as threatened with "contagion".
