Letta says he isn't afraid of UK referendum on EU membership

London, July 17 - Italian Premier Enrico Letta told a press conference in London Wednesday after talks with his British counterpart David Cameron that he is not concerned about a possible British referendum on EU membership. ''I am not afraid of the referendum, it is always positive when voters can express their opinion'', Letta said after meeting Cameron. The British premier has vowed to renegotiate Britain's EU membership and hold a referendum on the issue if he wins a general election scheduled in 2015.
