Stefanel boosts China stores to 15 with new Beijing opening

Rome, July 15 - Italian fashion house Stefanel has boosted its presence in China to 15 stores after the latest Monday opening of a clothes and accessories shop at Beijing's Shuang An department store, the largest of its kind in the northwestern Haidian district of the capital city. Stefanel's Chinese expansion has been gathering pace amid the opening of an average of one store a month since it signed a development plan with its partner Carnival International in 2012. The agreement foresees the opening of some 50 shops over a time period of five years in the most prestigious shopping malls and department stores in mainland China and Taiwan. The China expansion is also part of a wider plan by Stefanel to boost its presence in Asian markets, including Japan, the Phillipines, South Korea and Hong Kong.
