Bergamo, July 12 - A three-year old girl who had been greeted by Pope Francis during a June pilgrimage to the Vatican City and wrote to the pontiff on her return back home received a delightful surprise when the postman delivered a reply from him. The young child, Alice Maria Rocca, had travelled to the Vatican to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pope John XXII last month. The pope, when meeting the crowds gathered for the event, greeted several children including her, kissing her by way of blessing. Upon Alice Maria's return back home in Osio Sopra, northern Italy, she wrote a letter to the pontiff together with her grandmother, asking for a blessing for herself, her family, and the nursery school she attends. A few days ago, she received the delightful surprise of a letter from the pope, with the requested blessings.
