Four homosexuals badly beaten by drunk thugs in Turin

Turin, July 12 - Four homosexual men were beaten up in a Turin park kiosk during the night between Sunday and Monday, shortly after the conclusion of a Mister Piedmont Gay contest in a nearby discotheque, newspaper La Stampa reported on Friday. According to a reconstruction of events, after emerging from the disco, the friends sat at a kiosk located in the Valentino park for a drink. Four other young men, visibly intoxicated, began insulting the homosexual men. When the victims of the abuse tried to distance themselves, the drunks came after them, attacking them with kicks, punches and a belt. The victims suffered injuries estimated to take 20 days to heal. Police located four suspects on the basis of descriptions, and personal injury charges have been filed against them. Police called it an isolated incident, unrelated to any homophobic or organized hate movement.
