Benevento, July 10 - A family was locked in a bedroom of their home while three people ransacked the house and stole about 20,000 euros in valuables, police said Wednesday. The family was terrified by the invasion of their home in Solopaca near Naples late Tuesday, said police, adding the robbers were thought to be Eastern European. Armed with a rifle, a pistol and a screwdriver, the thieves forced the family including - a 45-year-old lawyer, his wife and two young children - to open two safes in the home. They then made off with about 1,500 euro in cash, gold objects and three guns.
