Palermo, July 10 - A woman was stabbed to death by her partner in the Palermo home they shared with their two-year-old son Wednesday. Neighbours heard the couple arguing before the man murdered Rosy Bonanno, 36. Bonanno is the latest in the wave of so-called 'femicides' across Italy. The wave of often fatal violence - about 80% by husbands, partners or exes - has been gaining more attention and forcing action from authorities. Last month the government named Isabella Rauti, an education professor and journalist, as Italy's policy adviser on gender violence and femicide.
