Reggina soccer club vice-president arrested in Mob probe

Reggio Calabria, July 9 - Italian police on Tuesday arrested the vice-president of Serie B soccer club Reggina on suspicion of mafia links and extortion. Prominent Reggio Calabria businessman Giovanni Remo, 56, was arrested with two others on suspicion of links to the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta mafia. Reggina, who have been up and down between the top flights for decades and have been fighting for promotion to Serie B since 2009, are not involved in the probe, police said.
