Milan, July 5 - Inter Milan said Friday that they have signed French-Algerian striker Ishak Belfodil from Parma on a five-year contract. The 21-year-old arrives as part of the deal that saw Antonio Cassano move in the opposite direction earlier this week. Belfodil scored eight goals in 34 appearances for Parma last season. Before that he played for Bologna and Lyon at senior level. "Inter are a great team. I'm absolutely delighted and I hope to be very successful here," Belfodil told reporters. "Hello to all the Nerazzurri fans". Belfodil was born in Algeria but grew up in France. He represented France at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level but recently applied to FIFA to be eligible to play for Algeria.
