Spread drops after Draghi rate pledge

Rome, July 5 - The spread between Italian and German 10-year bonds, a gauge of investor confidence in Italy, fell to 270 points Friday from 274 Thursday night after European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi said the ECB would hold rates steady for the foreseeable future. Draghi's statement Thursday boosted stocks and bonds across Europe.
