Postal police victims of Internet scam

Bolzano, July 4 - Italian postal police on Thursday warned of a new Internet scam that sends an automated alert with its signature asking Web users to pay a 100-euro fine for downloading illegal child pornography. After receiving numerous calls, police discovered that a fraudulent message signed 'Bolzano postal police' told users to pay the fine or risk having their computers frozen. Police asked for Internet users to report any further cyber-fraud attacks.
