Reggio Calabria, June 25 - A Georgian man, disguised in a wig and glasses, viciously attacked his ex-partner's sister in this southern Italian city, stabbing her and slashing her face before fleeing the scene. Police arrested Zviad Surguladze, 42, on Tuesday in connection with the attack on the woman, who will bear permanent scars. The woman also sustained injuries to her hands after she tried to fend off blows to her face and neck while her assailant said he would kill her. Her screams brought help, which drove off the attacker. He was found later, trying to hide in line at a pharmacy, still wearing his disguise. Police say the man had been abusive towards his ex-partner, once burning her cheek with his cigarette.
