Rome, June 18 - Italian automaker Fiat saw May car registrations in Europe drop by 11% on the year, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) reported Tuesday. A total of 73,758 new Fiats were on the road in the 27-member EU last month, down from 82,887 in the same period in 2012. New registrations were also down in April by 9.8%. So far in the first five months of this year they are down 9.6%. New car registrations were also down across the EU by 5.9% in May, the lowest numbers for the month since 1993.
