Finmeccanica announces 240 million euros in new contracts

Paris, June 17 - Italian defence and transport conglomerate Finmeccanica on Monday announced 240 million euros' worth of new orders during the Le Bourget aerospace trade fair in Paris. Finmeccanica's subsidiary AgustaWestland announced contracts totalling 200 million euros to deliver about 20 helicopters across various orders. The electronic-technologies subsidiary Selex Es announced a 40-million-euro contract with Kuwait's civil aviation authority to provide networking-ata infrastructure for data exchange in the Kuwait City airport. The Italian State owns a 30% stake in Finmeccanica, which reported losses of 786 million euros on revenues of 17.2 billion euros in 2012.
