Four arrested for copper theft

Milan, June 12 - Italian police on Tuesday night caught four Milan men stealing a 10-metre-long copper drainpipe from a building site in the northern Italian city. The four, aged 18 to 21, reportedly told police they were unemployed and had been "forced" to steal by economic difficulties. Copper theft has become rife around Italy as the country's worst recession in 20 years bites harder.
