Turin book fair closes with record attendance

Turin, May 20 - Turin's 26th edition of the Salone Internazionale del Libro, the city's book fair, closed Monday with record attendance, organizers said. More than 329,000 visitors, 4% more than last year, flocked to the event since its opening May 16. Sales were also up 20%, despite the economic crisis gripping the country. One of the show's best sellers was Zero Zero Zero by Italian journalist Roberto Saviano, who wrote about the Casalesi family in his 2006 bestseller Gomorra. Photo: Italian journalist Roberto Saviano
