Rome, May 13 - The leader of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement on Monday said that any of his MPs who use money from their government-provided expense accounts will be expelled from the party. "He or she removes himself (automatically from the party)," said Beppe Grillo on his blog. MPs are granted approximately 3,500 euros every month to reimburse their travel, food and other expenses, in addition to roughly 5,000 euros in monthly salary. Grillo's party members ran on an anti-waste platform, renouncing any government campaign financing and extras once in office. Since claiming about 25% of the vote in February national elections, several MPs have reneged.
