Europe wants new Italian govt's economic plans

Brussels, May 8 - The Eurogroup wants Italy's new finance minister to meet with its members Monday to explain his government's plans for boosting economic growth while sticking to its reform agenda, a source said Wednesday. Fabrizio Saccomanni is expected to explain "what are the plans on the reorganization of the government and...those for growth," a source said. He will also be asked to outline the Italian government's economic priorities. A new government was sworn in in late April and is expected to make economic growth and job creation in Italy a high priority.
