Protesters clash with police in Rome's Piazza Venezia

Rome, May 6 - Protesters in the capital's central Piazza Venezia clashed with riot police Monday morning as they tried to break through a police line blocking Rome prefect's office. The demonstrators, mostly immigrants living in Italy, were protesting the right to public housing. Authorities said that the situation has been contained and the protesters are currently gathered in the Santi Apostoli square.
