Police seize 3 mln euros from Italian solar plant

(ANSA) – Brindisi, May 3 – Italian finance police seized funds and goods for a total of 3 million euros in southern from a solar power plant for allegedly acquiring public funds illegally. Authorities found 2 million euros in bank accounts and seized land and real estate in the town of Francavilla Fontana. Some 13 businessmen and landowners are part of the investigation, according to police. The 10 MW plant, laid out on 28 hectares, was set up by 10 companies: Sun System, Puglia Tech, Solar Energy, Solar Technology, Sun Power, Alfa Energy, Beta Sun, Gamma Tech, Delta Sun, Heliantu.
