Kyenge 'hurt, but can't be stopped' by racist slurs

(see previous) Milan, May 3 - Recently appointed Integration Minister Cecile Kyenge said on Friday that she has been hurt by a barrage of racist epithets but they would not keep her from governing. "I didn't expect so many insults. As a human being I'm hurt, but I don't think the insults can stop me," she told Italian broadcaster La7. Since her appointment in Premier Enrico Letta's left-right government last Sunday, Kyenge has suffered racist attacks from the anti-immigrant Northern League and anonymous bigots.
