Vatican puts on pavilion at Venice Art Biennale

Vatican City, May 3 - The Vatican confirmed on Friday that it will stage a pavilion at the 55th Venice Art Biennale, taking place from June 1 to November 24. Every two years the Venice Art Biennale showcases contemporary art inside national pavilions from across the world - and Vatican City is a city-state. The Papal Culture Council confirmed that a press conference will be held on May 14 to announce the details of the Vatican's participation in the famous Venetian art fair. Participating artists in the Vatican exhibition will deal with the themes of "Creation, De-Creation, New Humanity or Re-creation". The Vatican is dedicating its exhibition to the first 11 chapters of Genesis - from creation, the introduction of evil, to the projects and hopes of men after devastation symbolically represented by the flood.
