Soccer: Inter fined for racist chants in Tottenham game

Rome, April 26 - Inter Milan were fined 45,000 euros by European soccer's governing body UEFA on Friday for racist chants by the Italian club's supporters in a recent European match. Inter fans abused black Tottenham Hotspur players Emmanuel Adebayor and Kyle Naughton in the return leg of the Europa League last 16 tie between the teams in March. Inter won the match 4-1 but went out on away goals after losing the first leg in London 3-0. The Serie A club have three days to lodge an appeal after the reasons for the punishment are published.
