Berlusconi says 'no real problems'

Rome, April 26 - Centre-right People of Freedom (PdL) leader Silvio Berlusconi said Friday there were "no real problems" facing Enrico Letta in his bid to form a government. "We can't expect a 100% deal but my people were very encouraged" by meetings with acting head of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) Letta Thursday, the three-time premier and media magnate said. The PdL set conditions including a rebate of property tax IMU, unlikely to be backed by the PD, but Berlusconi stressed "there aren't any knots to be untied". The 18-strong team, including members of the PD and PdL, is expected to be sworn in Saturday or Sunday and win confidence votes in parliament Monday and Tuesday.
