Government dissolves local councils over mafia connections

Rome, April 24 - The municipal council of a small town in Reggio Calabria was dissolved Wednesday for links with organized crime. The council of Montebello Jonico has been dissolved for 18 months, under orders of the Interior Ministry, over mafia connections with local politicians.
