Amanda Knox says she hopes Kercher family reads her book

New York, April 24 - Amanda Knox says that she hopes the family of her murdered roommate will read her memoir. Meredith Kercher's father "thinks that I am the killer of his daughter and this is painful," Knox said in an interview with People magazine shortly after the publication her book about her experiences. "I sincerely hope that he reads my book". In the interview Knox, who is now a student in Seattle, admits that she contemplated suicide while she was held in prison after her conviction for the 2007 murder of Kercher while the pair were studying in the Italian city of Perugia. Knox and co-defendant Raffaele Sollecito were acquitted on appeal in 2011.
