Rome, April 24 - Pope Francis is a music lover and keen opera buff, an Argentine soprano who has known him for years told ANSA in an interview on Wednesday. "He listens to sacred music, classical music, but he also likes opera very much, a real connoisseur," said Haydee Dabusti, in Rome on Wednesday for her artistic debut in Italy. Dabusti has sung for years for major festivities at the Buenos Aires cathedral. Dabusti was able to greet the pope at the last general audience in St. Peter's Square. "You know what he asked me when he got near me?" Dabusti asked ANSA. "He asked me, 'How did Norma go'? He knew that I was trying to prepare this Bellini work and is very knowledgeable. He knows how difficult it is for a soprano," Dabusti explained.
