'Climbers' in the Church says pope

Vatican City, April 22 - Pope Francis on Monday denounced "climbers" in the Catholic Church who "pretend to come in (openly) but are thieves and brigands, stealing Jesus's glory". Speaking at a Mass in the Vatican, the pope warned the faithful not to follow a "shop-like" religion. Francis, elected March 13, is seen as a new broom by many hoping for reform in the Church. He has named a panel to advise him on overhauling the Church's administrative nerve centre, the Curia, which leaks say is dysfunctional, riven with intrigue and which has been associated with scandals at the Vatican Bank - another top item on Francis' reform agenda.
